So much news this week, I needed two posts – one on politics and another on the real news of the week. I had to get this out early so I wouldn’t have even more items from tonight’s GOP debate.

Can we all agree that he longer the GOP primary season goes on the stranger it gets?

Just a few examples this week:

Can we all agree that Ted Cruz’s campaign ad with a porn star takes this week’s prize?

Can we all agree that Mr. Cruz’s attempts at humor are, shall we say, sophomoric? Other words come to mind, but you can judge for yourself.

Can we all agree that Mr. Cruz should be more concerned that the leading newspaper in his home state endorsed the candidate from Ohio?

Can we all agree that it seems everyone is ganging up on Jeb Bush? Is he suddenly the front runner?

Can we all agree that fighting back using your brother would be a risky strategy in most of the country, but not down South?

Can we all agree with Donald Trump that the Pope is getting political? But is that bad, when he exposes Trumps xenophobic hysteria?

Can we all agree that a newspaper article explaining to parents how they can talk about Trump to their children assumes you think he is a problem?

Can we all agree that with Mr. Gilmore, Mr. Christie and Ms Fiorina out of the race it will be nice to have just a single GOP debate? Is Mr. Carson next?

Can we all agree that, to paraphrase Lyndon Johnson, “If you’ve lost David Brooks, you’ve lost the GOP?”

Can we all agree, speaking of the media, that the folks at Fox must be a bit upset that they have no control over the leading GOP candidate?

Can we all agree that while we saw the polls, we were a bit amazed that Bernie Sanders crushed Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire?

Can we all agree that the best headlines of the week belong to the Huffington Post which declined to put the name of the winning candidates in headlines saying ,” “Racist Sexist Homophobe” and “Democratic Socialist” won the New Hampshire primaries?

Can we all agree that the phrase “The campaign’s not dead,” or “We’re still alive.” doesn’t exactly sound like the battle cry of a winner?
